CookClip — multiple capture formats
CookClip publishes support for TikTok and other videos, websites, screenshots, photos, and notes. Test whether the original link is prominent, how the app labels inferred information, and what remains available without its broader planning features.
Kuskus — all-in-one collection positioning
Kuskus publishes TikTok import, cookbooks, meal plans, and grocery lists. Confirm capture correctness and export rather than assuming breadth from the source list.
Use a missing-detail test
Choose a public video where the creator names an ingredient but never gives its quantity. A trustworthy outcome should omit the quantity, reject the source, or clearly identify any generated estimate. Record a failure if the app silently supplies a precise amount. This is a benchmark criterion, not a claim that every candidate currently exposes uncertainty in its interface.
Also compare:
- public link versus downloaded file—the latter may not be a supported recipe input, and TikTok says creators control whether their videos may be downloaded;
- caption versus narration transfer;
- original creator/source visibility;
- edit and deletion controls;
- search and cooking progress;
- privacy policy and export;
- free limits and account requirements.
